ADHD is a neuro-: developmental disorder that one has 24/7. Narcolepsy occurs daily. A valid diagnosis of either warrants daily dosing, as Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) works in 1 1/2-2 hours, peaks at ~ 6 hours & wears off in 12-14 hours. Tachyphylaxis or tolerance in ADHD is treated by titrating dose to 70 mg./day, adding non-stimulant medication or changing stimulant.
