Swallowing pulls my lower jaw down, why is this?

Swallow: Swallowing is a complex coordination of activity of the tongue, jaw and pharyngeal muscles. Stabilization of the jaw is learned a toddler to help swallow larger volumes of fluids as the transition is made from bottle to cup. Mild movement of the jaw may be noticed in older individuals. If you have any difficulty swallowing or notice choking, you should be evaluated by your doctor.

Unusual: That is an unusual symptom. If it troubles you, have it evaluated by an oral surgeon.
