Throat discomfort: Sounds like your discomfort is positional. Being that the neck is flexible, with the head tilted back, the throat narrows/compresses & can cause the symptoms. When in normal position, the throat opens back up and the symptoms resolve. If they happen in normal position & associated with fevers, nasal congestion, coughing, post-nasal drip, see your doc for further evaluation and treatment.
