Why?: PCOS is managed initially with lifestyle modification, such as weight loss. If this doesn't work, OCP's are tried. If the woman cannot tolerate OCP's, intermittent progestin therapy can be used. Getting a TAH-BSO to treat PCOS doesn't make any sense to me. Why throw the baby out with the bath water? (No pun intended).
