Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition where ovulation is infrequent, and stimulation of the ovaries allows increased exposure of the endometrial lining to estrogen, with potential abnormal cells over time. Treatment is oral bcp's, to stop ovarian estrogen. For pregancy, consult a reproductive endocrinologist for guidance, as ovulation induction may be necessary.
