Overbite?: Unless your tongue is swollen, this sounds like you may need your bite adjusted for mal alignment. Suggest you see an orthodontist ASAP and have a good exam and dental films to evaluate

May need to see ENT: An ENT physician can help clarify this. You can ask your physician if you can see one. The tongue can be sore for a variety of reasons, including nutrition, infection.
