The mouth heals very quickly and in a day or so you should be much more comfortable. Avoid doing anything to that side of the mouth during the recovery time. use a moyth rinse rather than brushing the gms in that area. But, if symptoms persists I would seek the opinion of a dentist.

Soft tissue will heal over about 2weeks, concern is the affected tooth. Best to see your Dentist ASAP. In the meantime 1 200mg Ibuprofen w bkfst, lunch, dinner, before bed to reduce pain and inflammation. Rinse 3x/day w 1tsp salt in 8 oz warm water, then spit out. Soft high protein diet.
