A member asked:

Ive noticed that my teeth grow slightly inwards. meaning theyre diagonal and form some sort of v line. and i always breathe with my mouth open...could this be a result of my tongue not pushing against the teeth?

High Vault: You may have a very high palate, possibly genetic, possibly from thumb sucking beyond infant age. Please see an orthodontist for a proper diagnosis and treatment options.

Other way around: You may have high narrow palatal vault, narrow lower jaw, recessive lower jaw, displaced teeth, etc., all of which contribute to an altered oro-naso-pharyngeal airway. Toungue usually adapts to the space available to it. Please see a specialist Orthodontist for initial examination (usually free) to discuss your malocclusion and the available treatment modalities.
