Not much: Unfortunately there isn't much you can do. Nature has to run its course. The first day or so is the worst. You can take some otc pain medication, rinse with cold water, apply topical anesthetics from your local pharmacy that do not require a prescription, or see your dentist for orabase with kenalog (triamcinolone) (which does require a prescription). Stay away from hot, spicy and acidic foods. Feel better soon.

See dentist soon: Can use topical gel..Can help decrease the pain..However seeing your dentist is best option..That will help get proper treatment.
