Patellofemoral synd: Patellofemoral syndrome is very common and may improve with weight loss if you are overweight or obese. Physical therapy and daily mild exercise is essential. Steroid Injections may provide relief, prescribed only 3-4 times per year to avoid side effects. Be sure that you have had an MRI to rule out any significant damage to the meniscus, tendons or ligaments prior to consenting to surgery.
