A member asked:

I have a chronic right knee pain and my doctor diagnosed it as chondromalacia patelai. what is best treatment?& what about working out & wight lifting

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chondromalacia: Avoid kneeling, crawling and squatting. Limit squats and lounges in the gym. Avoid repetitively exercising the knee in flexion beyond 90 degrees bent. Therapy and bracing are the best options for chondromalacia patella. Need to strengthen thighs, tone core muscles, and maintain ideal body weight.
