You will reap the: Benefits. Exercise is great for you. There is so much good evidence out there about it's profound effects on basically all organ systems for almost every disease processes. In the end, the benefits you may reap, are dependent on the type and intensity of exercise you do. Resistance training is different from cardiovascular training and obviously they both provide different benefits.
