Depends: It depends on which diabetes pills are taken. Some Type 2 pills stimulate insulin or depend on your insulin, and a type 1 diabetic has no insulin, so the pill would do nothing. Other pills make you more sensitive to insulin, or cause you to lose glucose in the urine. These may lower glucose in a type 1 diabetic, but that person will still need insulin. Talk to your doctor about this.
