Resume ASAP: Although Lantus (insulin glargine) has no peak and long 24 hour duration of action it would be best not to miss your normally scheduled dose for too long. Not a good idea: But, it appears you already have. Dangers depend on how high your blood sugar runs and how controlled your diabetes. For the most part you would not develop diabetic ketoacidosis in 24 hours if your sugars are under fairly good control.
