What is trochanteric bursitis of the hip? how is it treated?

Inflammation.: It is an inflammation of the bursa ( sac of fluid), on the outside of your hip. Usually treated with anti-inflammatory medication, icing and physical therapy. Sometimes a cortisone injection is required.
