A member asked:

Why do i always feel hot but i do not have fever nor a thyroid problem. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypothalamus: In addition to your thyroid, your hypothalamus plays a role in your body's set point temperature. The body keeps its core temperature constant at ~37 c by physio adjustments controlled by the hypothalamus where there are neurons sensitive to changes in skin & blood temperatures. The temp-reg ctrs are found in the preoptic area (anterior pt) and work w posterior pt 2 control heat producing regions.
