Unusual: Although drugs can cause unusual symptoms on a few patients, yours are more likely from uncontrolled anxiety. Talk to your doctor about modifying your medication for the anxiety and depression.

Yes, it can: These are potential side effects of elavil, (amitriptyline) although rather surprising at your dose. You may wish to have a blood level checked to see if you are a slow metabolizer of the cytochrome p4502d6 enzyme system. You could find this out by checking a test for the cyp2d6 isoenzyme or by checking an Elavil (amitriptyline) level and inferring from there. Please discuss with your physician.
