What is the healing process and timeframe for an extracted tooth?

Depends: there are many factors involved. Why was the tooth extracted, was it a simple or surgical extraction and what is your individual body's capability of healing ( diabetics can take longer to heal for example) are just some of the factors involved.

3-4 weeks to heal: The healing process begins immediately after surgery as your body sends blood to nourish the alveolar socket. It usually takes for gums about 3-4 weeks to heal. The bone can take up to 6 months to heal completely.
