Blood clot is formed: A blood clot is formed. The blood clot covers the extraction site and allows the area to heal. It usually takes gum tissue about 3-4 weeks to heal. The bone can take up to 6 months to heal completely. However, it depends on how easy or difficult the tooth removal was.
