Avoid fried foods...: and choose poly or mono unsaturated fats (over saturated) (olive oil better than palm /coconut etc) But remember that diet only affects one third of the cholesterol in your blood. You also need exercise to increase your good cholesterol (HDL) and weight loss to diminish the bad cholesterol (LDL). In some cases, medicines are needed depending on cholesterol values and other co morbidities .
