No: Shingles is a reactivation of Herpes Zoster virus which has lain dormant in your own nerve cells.A person w/ shingles cannot 'transmit' shingles to someone else who has already had chicken pox. They can, however, infect someone who has never had chicken pox - but the result will be chicken pox, not shingles. Wash well & take appropriate precautions to protect people who've never had pox or vaccine

No: The only thing you can catch from shingles is chickenpox. If she is chickenpox immune, she has had chickenpox then she is not at risk. She cannot catch shingles as it comes from a nerve root in your spine where the chickenpox virus lives after you have had chickenpox. All the best.

KissOfTheElephantMan: If she has already had chicken pox then for all intents and purposes (that means a pretty good chance but not 100%) she is immune to your dreaded Shingles (Zoster) virus. People who have not had chicken pox can get it (and not shingles) from you. That's how I got chicken pox and it ain't pretty if you're over 30. You only can get shingles after you've gotten chicken pox, usually later in life.

No: If she's already had chickenpox, the virus is already "hiding" in body. The real risk is to those who have never been vaccinated or contracted chickenpox in the past.
