Prevent chickenpox: If you have never had chickenpox, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you get the chickenpox vaccine. This is an easy vaccine to take and should protect you from exposures like this. The thing is, you've 'already' been exposed just by being in the same room with your aunt. I would try to see an Infectious Diseases doctor -they are experts with this disease. Do you know if you every had antibody tests?

Depends: Shingles differs from actual chickenpox.Since the infectious material is only in the debris from the site, it is easier to limit exposure.Primary Cpx can be airborne & spread by a cough or in saliva but shingles is not, so your kiss did not expose you.If you had any contact with site debris & then touched your face/mouth you were.
