Uncommon: With the widespread use of vaccination in developed countries, myocarditis secondary to measles, rubella, mumps, poliomyelitis, and influenza is now rare. Similarly, the recognition of trichinellosis by meat inspection has all but eliminated this infection. Other viruses can cause it but the majority of patients recover. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
