Prolactin units?: Can you check the units on your prolactin level: prolactin is measured in either mg/L, ng/mL, or mcg/L - the units are critical to decide whether the level is too high or not. if your level is 991 ng/mL it is extremely high and needs prompt evaluation.

Make sure no tumor: Hi. Did you get an MRI of the pituitary gland to see if you have a pituitary adenoma ? Go to an Endocrinologist for a full workup. There are many treatment options beyond birth control pills. Good luck!
