You need to: provide more information. It's 3,500 calories to the pound. If you burn off that number that you don't consume you lose a pound. Eat that much that you don't burn off and you gain a pound. It's not really complex. Eat less and exercise more. The Thanksgiving meal is no different than any other food intake. It all has calories.
