My surgeon told me almost a month ago that i need a fusion. it hasn't been scheduled yet, they were supposed to call. should i be worried about this?

Not to worry.: Please give the office a call to check up on things. They may be working on it or the scheduling may have fallen through the cracks. There are many details to deal w/in a busy office but your case is also important. Stay calm and ask simply and directly. Peace and good health.
