Meralgia paresthetic: a. This is a sensory disorder of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. It can be brought about by rapid weight loss, diabetes, trauma, and less commonly by tight fitting clothes or belts.
If not the differential includes lumbar spinal stenosis, retroperitoneal bleed, or lumbar plexopathy.
