YES: The "skin fold" test is the best way of determining the length of the needle needed. this is done on the side of your adomen pinch the skin...measure the pinched area and one half that measurement is how long the needle should be...BTW if you can't pinch.,.....1 inch is just fine! Hope this helps Dr Z
