Pain worsening....: Can indicate only one of two things: a) beginning of a nerve injury/spinal cord compression at the l-4/l-5 nerve root or you have an arterial blockage (plaque) developing in the upper to mid thigh region that is causing nerve pain in the foot from a lack of blood flow to the foot. If it feels better when you stand, its most likely vascular in nature; if not, then its spinal in nature!

See neurologist: Nerve irritant is likely cause. Emg-ncv testing can possibly pin point anatomical region of compression.
