Hernias: are not always painful! They may be pushed inside the abdominal cavity but will eventually come out again with time. Many patients live with a hernia - reasons to see a doctor are severe pain or excessively large swelling.

Common: Hernias, or holes in the abdominal wall, commonly occur at the bet button at all ages. If its growing in size, becomes bothersome, or you just don't like the idea of it being there and posing a risk, get a consultation with a general surgeon to see if its worth it to you to have it repaired. Or see your primary care as a good starting point. Hope this helps!
