Many psychiatric: disorders, including anxiety, spontaneously remit (go away) without tx. In the case of anxiety, about 30% of cases spontaneously change their sx pattern, including a significant reduction or disappearance of sx's. There are also many causes of this--changing environments, work, relationships, diet and exercise patterns. If anxiety persists, CBT is very helpful. Try a free clinic to start..

Support helps: Try going to an anxiety self-help group. There are lots you can find online: http://www.adaa.org/supportgroups, http://anxiety-and-panic-attacks-self-help-group.meetup.com/ . Also don't give up on therapy. Look for low-cost programs. Go to your state's Dept of Health website, then Behavioral Health to find sliding-fee clinics near you. Best wishes.

Control?: Do a running inventory of what's going on in your life throughout the day, and ask yourself "Di I have any control over this?" If you don't have control over a thing, at least past a certain point, why worry about it?

Anxiety: Anxiety can be treated without medication by a Clinical Psychologist. If you can't afford private treatment please look for a clinic or sliding scale funded center.
