Due to what: How long have you had this problem for? And can you be more specific about your symptoms. When you say "panic" can you describe how you are physically? Usually this type of illness has a root cause or set of causes. Best to identify those and treat but there is also medication that can help. You would need to speak with a psychiatrist or mental health specialist to get the process started.

Ok, take a deep slow: breath and try to relax a little. Is your fear based on reality or do you tend to have excessive anxiety about health concerns? If former then discuss with your physician. If the latter - then please consider congnitive behavioral therapy or hypnosis. Take care.

Therapy?: Have you yet tried any form of psychotherapy? Typically, the optimal combination of things to treat emotional issues such as panic attacks, which are common is medication (which, on your best day, is supposed to take the edge off symptoms) but the real gruntwork takes place in psychotherapist's consulting room.

This sounds like an: acute experience of anxiety, i.e., a panic attack. Many go to the ER to r/o heart attack. If you are physically OK, then you have to get to the bottom of this dynamic. What is your background, especially with respect to trauma? Do you have a psychologist on board? Probably should get one soon. Panic: First please have a medical exam to rule out physical illness. If there is no physical problem then it would be good to consult with a psychologist to overcome the panic. Also there is medication to help with this.
