A member asked:

Can i drink while taking mirtazapine? i know that it produces more sedative effects, but is it dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Always bad combo: Alcohol and prescription medication is always a bad idea and should be avoided. You already said the possible consequences of increased sedation. That can, if severe enough lead to loss of consciousness which can compromise breathing, hear rate, & blood pressure. & if those are severely enough affected then, even more major complications like DEATH can ensue. Potentially dangerous? Answer: YES
