Yes: The implant post that the crown is cemented to is attached to the implant with a small screw. Sometimes that screw loosens, or even breaks. Your dentist needs to be able to get to that screw to retighten it without destroying the crown, thus the need for the crown to be easily removed. Common and acceptable to retain crowns in this manner. Otherwise, a very expensive repair.
