Varies...: Depending on which teeth, pathology, amount of bone, etc. In certain circumstances the implants can be immediately placed, while other times a bone graft is required and it will take three to six months for the site to fill in with vital bone. Since each situation is different, no one answer can apply to you. Ask your dentist or oral surgeon re: your surgery.

Immediate/delayed: If the sockets are not infected and there is sufficient bone for initial stability, the implants can be placed immediately. Otherwise, we typically wait 6 months for the sockets to heal sufficiently. See a Prosthodontist for evaluation and planning, and often the surgical treatment as well. Perhaps a team approach with a Prosthodontist and Oral Surgeon or Periodontist. Good Luck.
