Unlikely : Xanax (alprazolam) is a benzodiazepine. That class of drug treats seizures. It doesn't cause them.

Very unlikely: Xanax (alprazolam) does not provoke seizure activity, and if you are taking appropriate anti-epileptic drugs, you should experience NO issues, when you restart your Xanax (alprazolam), other than perhaps more drowsiness if interacts with certain meds. You have a good strategy to resume.
