Contusion; ? other: It would not be common, but sometimes a firm structure in clothing can cause a small contusion or subcutaneous bruise which could explain the swelling & tenderness over the ribs. But it shouldn't be related to feeling gassy with reflux. Review diet for gassy foods, increase fluid intake, consider OTC generic Pepcid (famotidine) for 7 days. If not better, see your doc for evaluation. Best wishes:)

Contusion: It sounds like you suffered for the sake of fashion. Underwire bras can have the same effect, though it is very surprising that you still have pain a week later. I suspect the reflux symptoms are a separate issue, just more noticeable now because you have this other pain nearby. Try to wear looser garments until this spot has resolved. See your doctor if you are not healing in a timely fashion.
