Maybe: I trust you are also using a topical agent such as benzoyl peroxide, retinoic acid, or salicylic acid. Spironolactone is an excellent choice for acne in a female patient but it's potent stuff and it would be a mistake to increase the dose without your physician's okay. Topical clindamycin to the affected areas with the other topical agent might also be enough to clear you.
