Maybe constipation: You are correct that often the slowing or hardening of stool passing through the intestine can cause abdominal pain. It is usually temporary. There are many OTHER causes of abdominal pain: ulcer, gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome, even appendicitis. Work on stool passage (fluids, fiber, activity), consider an OTC antacid (Rolaids) or generic Pepcid, (famotidine) and observe. If persists/worsens, see your doc
