Yes. And no.: Constipation can cause abdominal discomfort and swelling. Pain from constipation tends to be more general cramping pain but can certainly be perceived in different parts of the abdomen including the upper right part of the abdomen where the liver is. The gallbladder is small enough that any constipation pain is merely coincidental and not because it was removed.
