What is the normal range on psa tests for prostate cancer?

Unclear question: Normal psa levels are age dependent even though most labs report up to 4 ng/ml as normal. Psa is elevated in most patients with prostate cancer.

Multiple answers: If your prostate was removed for cancer psa should be <0.1. If you had radiation we like it below 0.5 but anything below 1.0 is acceptable. If you are being screened, i like it based on age; >75 up to 6.5; 65-75 4.5; 55-65 3.5; 45-55 2.5. You also don't want it going up >0.7/year. For more: @thepeedoc www.Peedoc.Com.
