Tablet?: I would recommend that you see a dentist for relief rather than than using a pain killing tablet. It will work better and last longer. Having said that, if necessary, take an OTC tablet that you would normally take for a headache. Then get an appointment with a dentist for diagnosis and treatment.

Telephone: If you're having mouth pain you need to call a Dentist ASAP before the pain becomes intractable. A pain killer will dull the pain as the cause of the pain worsens, until the problem is so severe that pills will no longer "work." You need to see a Dentist...NOW.

Call dentist: This needs to be checked and treated by a dentist. Do not try to self treat.

See a dentist ASAP: If you have a toothache, you may have a cavity, wisdom teeth or advanced gum disease. A tooth pain won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. You can use NSAID OTC or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control. See a dentist ASAP for assessment and treatment.
