Urinalysis: The answer is yes. Typically patients with certain kidney diseases such as that due to hypertension can have a normal urinalysis. Additionally early kidney disease may not necessarily show evidence on urinalysis. Their are urine biomarkers, that are expensive and special tests that are more sensitive to diagnosing kidney disease. These are not typically used in current practice yet.
