It is possible: You may have stones that are moving within the kidney and causing episodic mild obstruction if they are located near the junction of the kidney and the kidney drainage tube (ureter). The key question is whether your pain occurs with changes in position (twisting upper body, bending or standing from a sitting position). If this is the case, the pain may be back related (musculoskeletal).

Yes: Hi. Often the urine test will show blood in the urine with stones, and that's commonly seen but that's not absolute. Have you had stones before? If the pain persists, imaging studies may help to establish or rule out a (a) stone(s). There are other potential sources of the pain, however. I hope you are seeing a good diagnostician. Good luck!
