Sleep Hygiene: Proper sleep hygiene habits which include set bedtimes and rise time, avoidance of alcohol, tobacco or caffeine within 5 hours of bedtime, no watching TV in bed, reading in bed, eating in bed, pets in bed or watching the clock during periods of being awake. Also avoid daytime naps as this contributes to inability to sleep well at night.
