Pros of coconut oil: ...contains good mono- & polyunsaturated fats, & has no trans fat. Also, virgin coconut oil might have a positive effect on cholesterol levels & help protect against heart disease. Keep in mind its still high in saturated fat so don't replace all your cooking oil with it, use in moderation, & figure into your daily calorie & fat count. (Ref. bhg.com)
