That's unlikely: first of all, the nicotine breakdown product cotinin is not flushed all that much. It goes out with a half life of 16 hrs. So, a bit more than half gone in one day, The rest depends upon both how much you smoke and the sensitivity of the test. In general, 1 pack a day smokers are about 10 fold above the cut off, so 1 week is the usual time.
