It depends on what you mean by a regular drug test screening. If the drug testing is part of Federal Mandate screening for specific jobs such as the FAA, trucking, pipeline workers, railroad workers or maritime workers the answer is NO, nicotine is not tested for. If you are being tested by an insurance company for life insurance the answer is YES. They routinely look for smokers

Nicotine would have to be specifically tested for. The usual materials for nicotine testing are urine and saliva. If you are getting only blood tested, it is unlikely that you will be tested for nicotine.
