Hard to help: I assume that the test you are referring to is the HS-CRP. While that does mark inflammation it's quite nonspecific. It can be elevated from chronic diseases(like vascular or obesity) or from autoimmune processes or from infections to name a few. But before you contemplate steroids, you want to have an idea of what is actually being treated. More info is necessary to better guide you.
