Does lymph nodes normally swell when in stress? i recently felt some tenderness and swelling of lymph nodes somewhere below my ear, but now its gone

Node enlargement: occurs as a result of stimulation by the immune system, usually in response to a variety of infections. Other less common causes include autoimmune disease, certain cancers and a few medications.

No: Lymph nodes do not swell because of stress and anxiety, but because of infections, such as when you have a cold or other infections. Sometimes if you scratch a pimple, it can result in swollen nodes in the area. Also swollen lymph nodes generally come and go.
